What is Baby/Child Dedication?
The most wonderful experience in life is the birth or adoption of a child. A child is an awesome blessing from God and with that blessing comes a great responsibility to rear your child to know, love and fear the Lord so that one day they may also accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
Throughout the year, members of FishHawk Fellowship Church have the opportunity to schedule a date and time for your baby’s personal Dedication Service, allowing parents the opportunity to publicly commit themselves to raise their child in a Christian home and to dedicate their child to the Lord.
Baby Dedication Policies
We invite members of FishHawk Fellowship Church and those who hold dual membership (eg: military families) to schedule a Baby Dedication during one of our Sunday morning worship services. Baby Dedication allows parents the opportunity to publicly commit themselves to raising their child in a Christian home and to dedicate their child to the Lord.
The following guidelines must be met in order to participate in a Parent/Child Dedication Service:
- At least one parent must be a member of FFC and both parents commit to establish a Christian environment in which to raise their child.
- We believe in the sanctity of marriage, as one of two covenant relationships instituted by God, the other being the church. Therefore, the parents wishing to participate should be dedicated to each other in marriage.
- Each family will schedule an appointment with the Director of Preschool & Children, one month prior to the dedication service.
Please complete this form and the preschool office will reach out to you!
