Our mission as a church is to build bridges that connect people to a passionate life in Christ. We believe offering Saturday nights provides another bridge for people in this area to learn about the life changing news of Jesus Christ. We understand that Sunday mornings are not the only time people can gather to grow in their faith through a worship service. Some work on Sundays. Some rest. Some enjoy family time. It’s our hope that Saturday night services provide a time for you to connect with God and others
Join us for one of our two Saturday Night worship services at Fishhawk Fellowship Church at 5pm and 6:45pm
Pastor Daniel Butson serves Fishhawk Fellowship as the teaching pastor and leader of Saturdays at Fishhawk. His passion is to communicate the life changing news of Jesus Christ in a relevant way to those around him and inspire people to follow Jesus no matter what the cost. Following a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Political Science, God radically changed Daniel’s ambitions and goals toward a life in ministry. Daniel went on to earn the Masters in Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Pastor Daniel is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary located in Pasadena, California.
Daniel and his wife, Katie, have one daughter named Bellamy. In Daniel’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, playing a pick-up game of basketball or tennis, and getting to know his neighbors.
Below you will find links to pdf's explaining each serving opportunity in more detail.
Saturdays Nights will require that we sacrifice and serve. Email Daniel at to learn more about how you can be a part of the launch team.
What time are services?
On Saturday, service begins at 5pm. Children ages kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to attend children's discipleship services in Building B during the service time.
What should I wear?
Our services are contemporary and casual, and you are welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in, from jeans to dresses to slacks.
Where do I park?
If you are a first time guest, we have specially designated parking spaces directly in front of our building just for you. Just tell our parking attendant that you are a guest and he or she will direct you to one of these spaces.
How will I know where to go?
When you arrive at our church, one of our friendly "Greeters" will make you feel welcome, and direct you to the Worship Center.
Is childcare offered?
On Saturdays, childcare is offered through our nursery for babies 6 months to preschool, 4/5 years old (VPK). For children ages kindergarten through 5th grade, we offer children's discipleship which is held upstairs in Building B during the service.
How will I know when to stand?
During the services, our Worship Leader directs the congregation when to stand, usually during the singing portion, when reading God's Word, and sometimes during prayer. If you have disabilities that prevent you from standing, please just sit and enjoy the service.
Do I need to bring my Bible to services?
Since our pastor teaches directly from God's Word, if you have a Bible please bring it with you. We frequently refer to both the Old & New Testament, so you might want to keep the index at the front of your Bible handy to help you find the passages. WiFi is available to use your iPads, iPhones or other electronic devices.
Are invitations given during the service?
During the closing song of each service, the Pastors stand at the front of the church facing the congregation. This is known as the "invitation." Simply walk forward and express to a pastor your desire for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, your wish to join our church, or simply to share any special need you may have. You can also come to the steps of the platform to pray.
Do I need to give an offering when I visit?
If you are a first-time guest, all we ask is that you fill out a connection card, and place that in the offering plate. All others, please give as you feel led by the Spirit.
Is Communion offered during the service?
We celebrate Communion or The Lord's Supper quarterly and on special days such as Christmas and Ressurection Sunday ("Easter"). Please call our office at (813) 655-7431 if you have any further questions regarding Communion.
What Bible Study groups are offered for adults?
See LIFE-GROUPS for specific classes that are offered.
How do I become a member?
Refer to the Joining our Church page under "Next Steps" for more information about becoming an FFC member.
How do I find out about being baptized?
If you would like to be baptized, you may come forward during the invitation or you may call our church office at (813) 655-7431. Our Pastors perform baptisms during our Sunday services, but you may call our office to schedule a different baptism time. Learn more about Baptism HERE.
